Trip to Silverston for RLSCC engineers

Are you an engineer interested in cycling or a cyclist interested in engineering? If so, you may be interested in the Cycling Test Lab Open Day Event, being held at the Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub on the morning of Friday 17th June.

At SSEH we they developed three new mechanical test rigs in the form of a rolling resistance rig, stiffness rig and a chain efficiency rig; to create a ‘Cycling Test Lab’ in collaboration with Silverstone University Technical College and supported by a Local Growth Fund from BucksLEP. The formation of this relationship will allow the students at Silverstone UTC to have access to these rigs, offering them an opportunity to further their education by applying learning to real-world applications. The project also provides the students with valuable hands-on experience and exposure to engineering and industry, whilst allowing SSEH to advance our research and development services for sports engineering.
