Meet at Dale Street Methodist Church for sessions starting at 6:20pm and 7:00pm.
This is a seasonal ride, check on the Facebook page to ensure it is happening.
Roller sessions are a fantastic tool to aid your training and improve your peddaling technique on the bike through the winter. If you are planning a big sportive, want to improve technique on your bike or just want to get fitter then RLSCC roller training sessions are there to help.
The club roller training session's home is at the Dale Street Methodist Church Community Centre. Entry is from the door on the side of the church located in the small car park (corner of Regent Street and Dale Street), ring the bell labelled 'Cellar'.
This is a session whereby individuals can come along and join with others and train in a friendly, social environment. The sessions consist of a variety of programmes based on sprints, intervals and progressive techniques.
There are a few rollers are available for hire from the club, which will be allocated on a first come first served basis. However, these are limited, so if you have your own, please bring them along.
We run two sessions, which start promptly at 6:20pm and 7:00pm. This is a not for profit session aimed primarily as a benefit for RLS Cycling Club members, so it is priced to cover costs of the room hire and the provision of the rollers and equipment.
Members: £1 session fee plus £1 for use of club rollers
Non-Members: £2 session fee plus £2 for use of club rollers
Bicycle rollers are a type of trainer that enables you to ride indoors without moving forwards. However, unlike other types of bicycle trainers, rollers do not attach to the bicycle frame, and the rider must balance themselves while training.
